Nancy Judges at the 2022 NTCA National

Sunday, October 9th, 2022 was a spectacularly crisp, cool, and bright day in Macungie, PA – Home of the Montgomery County Kennel Club All Terrier Show. As a legacy breeder of Norwich since the mid 1970s – Nancy had an entry of 18 puppies under the age of 18 months.

Sweepstakes are often the first time a puppy competes in the show ring (Verdant’s Lovely Lexie from Glengariff pictured at 11 months)
The experience the puppy has being examined by the judge ‘on the table’ is formative, for good or for bad (Verdant’s Breaker of Hearts at just under 12 months)
We want it to be a positive experience, even when we need to see the bite! (Janoras Simply Deja Vu at just over 7 months)
Then, we want them to be comfortable on the ground so they can present their best! (Itsy Bitsy Alegria Just for a Bear Hug – “Kirby” at 15 months)
Sometimes. when you see your winner, you just know it – (Camio’s Spring Green at Talisen – “Sprite” at 16 months)

It was an amazing group of puppies all around, so the decision was not easy – Best in Sweepstakes went to Sprite (pictured above) who went on to take Best of Opposite to the Best of Breed in the following conformation show under Breeder-Judge Larry Adams.

Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Sweepstakes went to Kirby (pictured below) who went on to take Winners Dog / Best of Winners under Larry as well.
